Passport Project
Each nine weeks you will be required to complete a report and presentation on a specific genre of your choice. You must choose a different genre for each report.
The genre choices are:
1. History
2. Fantasy
3. Mystery
4. Biography
5. Science Fiction
6. Adventure
7. Poetry
8. How-To
9. The World
10. Outer Space
This will be a TEST grade. It must include:
1. A written report
2. A presentation (poster, powerpoint, dress up like a character, etc…) You must do at least one powerpoint presentation for your presentation during a nine week period.
Each nine weeks you must do one report and presentation to get your TEST grade. To get a stamp, you must make at least a 70 on the TEST grade.
In order to obtain more “stamps” you only have to complete the written report on a book (of a different genre). You do not have to do a presentation to get additional stamps once you have completed the TEST grade requirement for that nine weeks. At the end of the year you will be invited to a reward party if you have gotten at least 5 stamps.

Written Report Guidelines
Content:
Cover Sheet must include: (block 7 on rubric)
1. Title
2. Scene drawn from the book (hand drawn-no computer clip art or pictures)
3. 1 sentence to grab the reader’s attention
4. Lower Left-hand corner: Name, Teacher, Class Period
1st Paragraph: should include first 4 blocks on Written Report Rubric
1. Title and Author
2. Genre
3. Setting
4. Main Characters
2nd Paragraph: should include the Plot Summary (block 5 on rubric)
*This paragraph may be divided into two separate paragraphs
3rd Paragraph: should include the Conclusion with recommendation (block 6 on rubric)
